I have worked in Radio, television and newspapers and have graduated with a degree in Speech from Wichita State University, 1974. I have been most notably a news columnist with Pioneer Publications for nine years, also free-lanced for The Post Register, in Idaho Falls.
I was a member of Toastmasters International for more than twenty years, an Area Governor, and Division Governor, and achieved the Distinguished Toastmaster rating. While in Toastmasters I was often a competitive speaker/
My training in Hypnotherapy was with the Idaho School of Professional Hypnotherapy. Michael Dunlap was the teacher and Robert Hughes, former owner of the school, provided remarkable insights into hypnosis and the workings of the mind. Several times I was asked to teach parts of the class.
My background and training in Interpersonal Communication proved useful in evaluating clients.
I have one year of graduate school, and that time served as a foundation for my classes.
I demonstrated how to determine a client's thinking, learning and management styles and how each of these styles provides insights into a person's needs.
My teacher often praised me for reaching the client's needs, he called it "intuition." (I'm not sure I'd use the same term, but I not sure what to call it either.)
My wife and I have 8 children and 19 grandchildren, so you may say that I do have life experience to understand the issues that clients bring into my office.
I am non-judgmental and a dedicated practitioner.
I listen and apply all of my learned techniques to the issues at hand with the goal of creating a better life for each client.
